Written by Flávio de Souza and directed by Bruno Guida, the play “Stay With Me Tonight” stars a duo that needs no introduction: Miguel Falabella and Marisa Orth.

An irresistible plot, set in a small town, where a middle/lower class employee dies suddenly after a hearty lunch. His wife is not there and for her the feeling of loss is compounded by the guilt of being away from home at the fateful moment.

The news spreads, she decides that her husband will be laid to rest in the couple’s bed, and it doesn’t take long for her to start receiving visits from friends, neighbors and relatives. In a whirlwind of emotions and faced with the whole situation, she can only remember the bad episodes she went through with her husband.

It is then that, without any ceremony, he becomes a spectator at his own wake! Now alone, he goes from being a spectator to an intervener and, without delay, decides to question his own wife: they argue, joke, put all the disagreements, grudges and betrayals on the table… the misunderstandings end up being undone. The betrayals are forgiven and, above all, the vows of love are renewed.

After a night of comedy and romance, when she opens the bedroom door, she can now bury her husband in peace!
